Photo Of The Day: December 23, 2008

Rockefeller Center in New York City is home to Paul Manship's highly recognizable bronze gilded statue of Prometheus, prominently featured in the sunken plaza at the front of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Some sources cite it as the fourth-most familiar statue in the United States, behind the Lincoln Memorial, Mount Rushmore and the Statue of Liberty. Whatever the case, it looks particularly good during the holidays with the colored lights behind it. For more pictures of New York City, visit Paul Scharff Photography.com.
