This past Thursday evening the Queen Elizabeth 2 left New York City on its final trans-Atlantic crossing after nearly 40 years as the fastest passenger ocean liner in service. It was its 806th trans-Atlantic crossing, and 710th out of New York. In November, it will sail to Dubai, where it will become a permanently moored hotel, entertainment complex and museum.
