The white breasted nuthatch loves to land on the bark of a tree upside down. I'm not sure why -- the head then has to be twisted up which must cause some serious back pain. Perhaps there are chiropractor discounts for white breasted nuthatches. But whatever the case, almost any photo you see of a white breasted nuthatch has a similar design to this one, so to be fair, this isn't necessarily all that unique of a picture.
