Photo Of The Day: May 26, 2009

This year, as in every year, the list of top 10 beaches was announced by Florida International University's Laboratory for Coastal Research. This list has been compiled annually since 1991 using 50 criteria, including water quality and temperature, cleanliness, weather, sand, safety and facilities. This year, the Number 8 beach was Cape Florida State Park in Key Biscayne. The Associated Press used a photo of the beach and the lighthouse for their article on the listings, but it wasn't my favorite photograph.
